Observance of Various Community Events

Community participation is one of the most important pre-condition for providing efficient health services to the people. But most of the time people are not involved in health administration. So in order to inform the people on the importance of good health and facilities provided by the Govt. various community events were conducted as part of the programme. The following community events were organised during the reporting period.

World Health Day

World Health Day was observed at Berhampur on 7th April 2013 to high light the importance of maintaining good health. A rally was organised By CARD with participation by AWW, ASHA, SHG member and Volunteer of the organization. The objective of the programme was to attract the attention of general public to make them aware of their duty to keep good health.

World Population Day

India is facing the problem of population explosion which needs urgent attention. As an organisation working in the field of women and child health, CARD has been making people aware regarding their reproductive rights. In order to highlight the importance of family planning, the organisation observed the World Population Day. CARD Organised a rally with the collaboration of ZSS from municipality office to CDMO office. A meeting was arranged in the IEC hall of CDMO.
